Description: This class will be alternating between STEM Challenges, basic science experiments, and Zoology.

The STEM challenges involve beginning engineering and critical thinking skills. Students will be building, creating, problem solving, and learning to work as a team. Students will also be doing a variety of projects learning all about animals and their habitats. We will be keeping a science/lab journal throughout the year --drawing and writing about what we learn.

Covid - 19 Contingency Plan - In the event that we are forced to transition to online classes at any point in the school year, this class will continue to be held. 

Tutor: Lisa Berscheid has two B.A.'s in Psychology and in Bible from the University of Northwestern, St. Paul. She has been homeschooling her three children for 16 years. Lisa has also taught math and hands-on science classes in her home for homeschoolers of all ages. She is currently tutoring students with dyslexia using the Barton Reading System, an Orton-Gillingham program designed to help students learn to read with ease. In her free time, Lisa enjoys crocheting, gardening, cooking for her family, and catering special events


Cost:  $152, $162 or $172  per semester (depending on registration date)
