Description:  This course will define the types of courts in the U.S. court system and how a trial is run. We will be  strengthening critical thinking, reasoning, and communication skills. In addition, we will look at how to weigh opposing points of view, and how our faith fits into all of this. The semester will end with role-playing a trial.

Tutor: Ann Pearson was born and raised in Spring Park on Lake Minnetonka.  She is a true "lake girl". She is so excited for her 1st year at CHAT! She has taught at the elementary level, primarily in private schools, for 14 years before becoming a stay-at-home mom once her oldest child was born. This has always been her dream job! She holds an M.A. in Education from the University of Minnesota. Her family consists of husband Carl and their three children: Abby (15), Nolan (14), and Evan (12). They have been homeschooling for five years now and are grateful the Lord changed their educational path. In her free time, she enjoys boating, swimming, reading, writing, nature walks, and spending time with her family.
