Description: This class starts with developing an awareness of how to recognize, avoid, act and react to potentially dangerous situations. We progress through many real life scenarios with the answer to the question: if this happens my options are….. Lastly, we will learn and work towards becoming proficient at various physical self-defense techniques, with the idea that it’s a last a resort and there are many points in a self-defense situation where physical response may be avoided. However, if the situation does require a physical response the student will be able call upon the appropriate techniques to do what is necessary to get to safety as quickly as possible. All the while knowing “I can do all things in him who strengthens me” Phil 4:13 and trust that the Holy Spirit will guide me in all things. Note: New students are welcome to join at semester. Tutor: Peter Sterling has achieved a 3rd degree Black Belt and has taught Karate/self defense to thousands of students for over 30 years. His students and families genuinely respect him for the knowledge he shares, the style in which he teaches, and the importance he places on Christ-centered teaching. Utilizing scripture, Peter supports the development of strength, character, and confidence in all Sterling Karate students! Cost: $105, $115 or $125 per semester
