Description:  Welcome to Introduction to Public Speaking! In this semester class, we will be learning the basic principles of oral communication. Throughout the semester, we will learn how to prepare and present various kinds of speeches, as well as, feeling more and more comfortable being up in front of an audience. We will start with simple exercises and games to build up our confidence and to establish a fun and positive atmosphere. The overall goal of this class is to develop quality public speaking skills.

Tutor: Ann Pearson was born and raised in Spring Park on Lake Minnetonka.  She is a true "lake girl". She is so excited for her 1st year at CHAT! She has taught at the elementary level, primarily in private schools, for 14 years before becoming a stay-at-home mom once her oldest child was born. This has always been her dream job! She holds an M.A. in Education from the University of Minnesota. Her family consists of husband Carl and their three children: Abby (15), Nolan (14), and Evan (12). They have been homeschooling for five years now and are grateful the Lord changed their educational path.
