Description: In this class we will explore the basic elements of design; line, color, texture, form, shape, value,and size. We will be working in both 2D and 3D. The majority of class time will be spent learning different techniques and using our hands to sculpt, draw and paint using a variety of medium. We will look for inspiration from some of the wonderful creations God has made as well as the work other artists.

Students will have the opportunity to showcase their work at the CHAT Christmas Celebration and the Spring Showcase.

The Christmas Celebration date is Thursday, December 13, 2018.  The Spring Showcase is Thursday, May 9, 2019.

Tutor:  Kara Hammond holds a B.A. in Art Education from Bethel University. She has taught homeschool art and drawing classes in the past and is now busy raising her 5 daughters. She and her husband live in St. Louis Park where her husband pastors a church.

There is a $22 supply fee that covers most of the materials. The students may be asked to bring in additional materials during the course of the semester. These would be items families would have at home. (i.e. old CDs, tin cans, etc)
