Tutor: Christina Sluka
|Length: Full Year||Class Period: Thursday, eCHAT Period 6 (1:45-2:45 p.m.)|
This class will be split into two periods. Half
will cover beginning music theory using their bodies, boom whackers,
bells, percussion instruments, and guitar. Students will also learn
about various composers and identify the sound of different instruments
used in an orchestra. The other half, students will explore
communicating in Spanish through singing songs, playing games, and
dialoguing with classmates.
Covid - 19 Contingency Plan - In the event that we are forced to transition to online classes at any point in the school year, this class will continue to be held.
Christina Sluka, with her husband, David, educated their
four children at home for over 10 years. She has a M.A. in curriculum
and instruction from the University of St. Thomas including a K-6
elementary teaching license. Their family has served as missionaries in
the metro area and overseas. Her desire is for children to encounter the
love of God and know who they are in Christ so they can advance the
kingdom of God wherever He leads them.
$140, $150 or $160 per semester
