Tutor: Joni Mockler
Email: jcparrish17@gmail.com
Length: Full Year Class Period: Thursday, 9:45 - 11:30 a.m. and 12:00 - 1:45  (This is a full day class.)

Description:  This class explores various themes through literature, geography, math, science, writing, and group activities. Students will have the opportunity to work collaboratively and individually.  Parents are invited to a thematic Readers Theater performance each month.  This is a great opportunity to build friendships while discovering new things about God, His world, and their role in it.

Snacks and Water Bottles:  Children can bring a water bottle and a simple, healthy snack. Apple slices, a banana, or cut vegetables are great options.

Important note: This is a full day class, which is reflected in the tuition amount listed on the registration form.  If a student wishes to sign up for only the morning (or the afternoon) they should contact one of the directors.  Students will need to bring a sack lunch and will be supervised during their lunch period.

The Christmas Celebration date is Thursday, December 14, 2019.  The Spring Showcase is Monday, May 11, 2020.

Class Visits:  There are two class days during the year when parents of prospective students can observe the class.  The first is the week before Thanksgiving (Nov. 21st), and the other is the week after the spring open house. Please contact Laura Johnson if you would like to visit.

Tutor: Joni Mockler graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and Bible from the University of Northwestern St. Paul. She went on to teach second grade at a local Christian school for ten years. Most recently she taught an elementary home school co-op class in Florida.  Throughout the years, Joni has coached basketball for various grade levels and worked with youth all over the world on a number of mission trips. She is excited to come alongside parents as they seek to educate their children and train them up in the way they should go.
