Description: Encore! is a dynamic homeschool choir with an emphasis on singing technique and performance (full year commitment required as technique and material for spring builds off of the fall semester). Encore! will include more than only singing. As a choir, we will also learn about the building blocks of music and critical listening skills. Students will grow in appreciation for the musicians and composers of the past and present as we learn about their lives and experience some of their compositions as well as develop their musical ear. Most of all, we will sing songs from a variety of genres and languages that are glorifying to our Lord, fun, and educational.

Encore! will perform at both a Christmas Celebration and Spring Showcase. 

Vocal coach/director: Hannah Janssen has a degree in Vocal Music Education from the University of Northwestern-St. Paul. She has vocal directed and choreographed for several local theater, church and school productions including Bunce Performing Arts, Front Porch Musical Theatre, Cross Community Players, and the Waconia school district. Hannah taught music and directed choirs at Avail Academy, Minnehaha Academy, and in the Waconia School district. Hannah sings in Magnum Chorum and is involved in the worship team at City Hill Church. She also enjoys running, hiking, and camping with her friends and family. She and her husband live in the Twin Cities with their 3 children who keep their lives full of excitement and joy!
