Kindergarten Enrichment
(Grade K)
Tutor: Lisa Berscheid
Length: Full Year Class Period: Thursday, period 2 (9:30 - 11:30 a.m.)

Description:  The kindergarten will be filled with fun, hands-on activities and projects to develop a love of learning. Our mornings together will be filled with art projects, phonics lessons, sight-word recognition, and beginning math games and activities. Prayer and Bible stories will be incorporated into our class time as well. The focus of this class will be to work on our listening skills, cooperation, making new friends, and experiencing the excitement of learning new things together.

Snacks, Lunch, and Water Bottles: Children need to bring a water bottle and a simple, healthy snack. Apple slices, a banana, or cut vegetables are great options. Students will also need to bring a sack lunch and will be supervised during their lunch period.

Tutor: Lisa Berscheid began homeschooling her three children in 2002 and excitedly graduated the youngest in 2022. Lisa has two degrees from the University of Northwestern St. Paul, a BA in Psychology with a child and family emphasis and a BA in Bible. She has taught science and math classes both in her home and for other homeschool groups since 2007. She has a passion for tutoring students with dyslexia and loves to see them overcome those challenges.
