Description: Music Makers is a fun class designed to equip Kindergartners in being “tuneful, beatful, and artful” young musicians who can sing joyfully, play musical games, listen and move to music, learn about and play percussion instruments, and interact socially through the medium of music.

Music Makers performs at both the Christmas Celebration and Spring Showcase.

Vocal coach/director: Abbie Stewart has a bachelor’s degree in Vocal Performance from North Central University with a double minor in Business Administration and Christian Studies. She has been singing for as long as she can remember, has played the flute since 4th grade, and has been involved in auditioned choirs in high school, college, and beyond. A memorable moment in her musical journey was when she learned to harmonize with her sisters at age 12 during a family mission trip in Tanzania. She has a passion for seeing students fall in love with music at a young age like she did and experience “light-bulb” moments. In her free time, she enjoys playing ultimate frisbee, songwriting, and serving on the worship team at church alongside her husband, Thomas.
