Photography: Studio and Landscapes
Tutor: Tina Culbertson
Length: Semester class Class Period: Thursday, period 1

Description: Photography is an ever- changing and inspiring art form that encourages students to express themselves in a very user friendly and creative medium. As students delve into photography and working with images they find it to be a stepping stone into applications of ministry and crucial visual applications of many careers. In Studio and Landscape Photography, students will learn the fundamentals of camera manipulation, composition, and lighting. We will explore different aspects of portrait photography which will include people, pets and still life. Landscape techniques will focus on foliage, lakes, and wildlife. Class projects will include shooting in a full studio setup, a class photo book, photographing guest models, and a personal Christmas card.

Each class will begin in prayer and include presentations on weekly themed homework, new concept instruction time, and hands on practice.

No photography experience required. Previous photography students are encouraged to return and will enjoy the challenges of new assignments and projects.

This course can be taken for high school fine arts credit.

Students will be displaying their work at the CHAT Christmas Celebration.

The Christmas Celebration date is Thursday, December 17, 2020. (Alternate date is Thursday, December 10.)
