Description:   In this project-based class students will be discovering and learning all about God's wonderful creation.  We will learn about the Scientific Method, what animals need to survive, what plants need to survive, animal biomes/habitats, life cycles, types of rocks, tree/leaf identification, different forms of energy, states of matter, simple machines. Students will also be learning about the Engineering Design Process as we do STEM challenges. Learning to work in teams to create and build things. STEM challenges are great for improving problem solving skills in all areas of life.

Tutor: Lisa Berscheid began homeschooling her three children in 2002 and excitedly graduated the youngest in 2022. Lisa has two degrees from the University of Northwestern St. Paul, a BA in Psychology with a child and family emphasis and a BA in Bible. She has taught science and math classes both in her home and for other homeschool groups since 2007. She has a passion for tutoring students with dyslexia and loves to see them overcome those challenges.
