Dear Returning CHAT/eCHAT Families,

Welcome to a new school year!  Though there is still much summer left. . . and we hope it’s been a good one for you . . . all of us are busy preparing to welcome everyone back to CHAT in little less than a month.

Just a few things worth mentioning:

·       Pictures will be taken the first week of school in the Commons. All students need a photo taken. A separate email will be coming about that.

·       We are having our New Family Orientation on August 26th at COG.  You are welcome to come, but if your student was with us last year in the same grade grouping (K-2, 3-6, 7-12), it's not necessary.  If they are moving from 2nd to 3rd  grade, there are quite a bit of changes, so please consider coming.  You are also welcome to come and find your student’s classrooms on the 26th without attending the orientation.

Orientation times: K-2nd grade at 9:30, 3rd-6th grade at 10:00, 7th-12th grade at 10:45

·       I'm attaching a map of the church and a map of the parking lot as a reminder of how to drop off and pick up and where to park if you are staying on campus. If you have a student driver, please show them the map of where to park.

·       Parents are still welcome to be in the Commons while your student(s) are in class, but during lunch times (11:30-12:30), we ask that you move to the rectangle tables that are set up along the kitchen wall. This frees up space for our students. Thanks for your cooperation with this. . . and you are always welcome to come and have lunch with your student.

·       All our August and the coming weekly emails can be found here:  http://www.chatclasses.com/emailtrail24-25.html. We suggest you bookmark this site.

·       Most CHAT students are awesome at this, but it is still worth mentioning.    Please encourage your student(s) to look out for our new students this fall to help them feel welcome.  Lunch time can be especially stressful for new students. Thank you.

·       We will continue to have a box of free homeschool supplies, so if you have anything you are ready to part with and would like to gift to another CHAT family, feel free to drop it off at CHAT.  The box/bin is inside Door 2.

·       We will continue to occasionally have free bread on Wednesdays if you are interested.  There is a zippered bag for donations for the bags which cost about 10 cents each. No need to donate for the bread.

Blessings . . . and we look forward to seeing you soon (August 28th /29th).
