Dear Parents,
Below is information on our security procedures for our CHAT
entrance door.
Student IDs
- Your
students will be getting their IDs on week 2 or 3, and they will
be required to show their ID to the monitor before gaining
admittance.
Parent IDs and Check-in Process
- Parents will
need to show an ID and get a sticker to wear for the day that
identifies them as a CHAT parent. This is how it will work:
- Parents will
all have the same ID. It is actually a hidden
website: www.CHATclasses.com/parent2425.html. It looks like this on
your phone:
- You will
show this to the door monitor and then she will give you a
sticker (large colored dot) that you will wear while you are in
the building.
Simple, right? (o:
Helpful Hints and Additional Information:
1. Put the link to the ID on the home screen of your phone.
-
To make it super easy to pull up this ID, you can add it to your home
screen just like an app.
- Instruction
on how to get this webpage on your home screen can be found by
watching one of these videos:
*If you have trouble saving this to your home screen, another
alternative is to
take a screen shot of the website and save it to your Photos.
2. Print the ID
- If you would
rather carry a paper copy, simply print the ID from your
computer and show the paper to the monitor at the door. Here's
what it will look like (in black and white):
3. What to do if someone else is picking
your kids
up for you.
- If you are
having a grandparent or other adult pick up your kids, you can
share the link with them and they can show it at the door.
Super easy!
4. If you are just popping in the take your
little
one to class or pick them up...
- You will
always need to show the parent ID, but if you are just coming
into the entry area to drop or pick up kids, you don't need a
sticker.
- If you plan
to enter the Commons area (even to just use the restroom) you
will need a sticker.
Our goal with this system is to simply make
sure all adults
have a face-to-face with the door monitor and that no adult not
associated with
CHAT gains access.
Let us know if you have questions or difficulty
printing or
accessing the ID.
