Dear Parents of 9th-12th graders,

Introducing this year's Moonlight Dance (Semi-Formal)

We are busy getting ready for CHAT's Semi- Formal, so I want to pass along some important information.

  • Date and Time: Saturday, February 8, 6:00p
  • Who?  CHAT's 9th-12th graders and their guests
  • Place: Outpost Event Center, Chaska
  • Cost:  Early bird special is $30 if signed up in January (January 31), $35 before the 8th.
  • Sign-Ups:  This can be done using the form online or at CHAT at the Monitor Table.    Sign up HERE

Other things to note:
  • Price includes appetizers, not just snacks.  See below how you can help with this.
  • We will start the evening with dance lessons! This gets everyone on the dance floor.
  • We have hired a DJ!
  • There will be a RAFFLE!  Kids love free stuff. 😊  See below how you can help with this.
  • Students are allowed to bring one guest.
  • We expect students to follow CHAT's code of conduct by respecting others and the Outpost, obviously.
  • There will be a sweet spot for students to take pictures.
  • Dress code:  Since this is a Semi-Formal, we do have a dress code (below).  Students who do not follow our dress code will not be admitted and will not receive a refund.
  • Students will not be allowed to leave the event early without prior permission from parents and communicated with me (Laura)
  • This is not a couples only-type event.  Most students come in groups with friends.

WE NEED YOUR HELP

Our goal is to create a special, affordable event to help build community for our students.  With what we are charging, we are just breaking even with the venue, DJ, and decorations.

If you are able and willing to donate (even as little as $5) to help cover the appetizers, we would appreciate that.  There will be an envelope at the Monitor table or you can venmo me with Semi-Formal in the memo. (@laura-johnson-259)

RAFFLE:  If you would like to contribute an item (valued at $10 or more) or money,  that would be helpful. Ideas:  gift cards, games, etc. Just let me know so we can plan accordingly.  Our goal is to have about 10 raffle items.
